SOLD! 1211 LATE VICTORIAN MULTI-GOLD-TONE CHAIN NECKLACE

The leaves on each side of the center of the link are rose gold and green gold, sometimes both on a single leaf.  The center two-lobe piece is yellow gold over a circlet of green gold.  Our ancestors were very thrifty and it appears that all of those pieces are "gold front", which is the thinest bit of gold on top of base metal, not enough gold to count, but nice to look at.  All other parts are likely plated base metal.   Antique jewelry , in excellent condition,  about 18 inches.  The spring ring floats freely on a jump ring and is difficult to clasp.  Sparkles will be happy to add a hook for ease of wearing.
Price:$118.00    Condition: Excellent    Order Item#V100830   BA

FAUX CARVED JADE NECKLACE ~  circa 1920-30

The art of glass, these Bohemiam beads are heavily dappled with light and medium green ... a great imitation of jadite.  The faux, simulated carved plaque is a basket and floral design within a pierced antiqued gold tone frame.  The plaque is solid on the back with a decorative filigree overlay.   About 20 inches long, the large beads are 11 mm, the small separating beads range from 5 mm in the front to 4 mm at the back.    Vintage costume jewelry in excellent condition.

OUT OF THIS WORLD STERLING BROOCH

Do you wonder what stimulated the imagination of the maker of this brooch?  Obviously another planet, the raised band of rhinestones may be the equator and the encircling triple band would be Saturn like rings.  The planet is studded with multi-color rhinestones set in star shape cavities.  Original rose gold tone plated over sterling, the front has some remnants of the plating; the back is still plated.  This was a stunner in its day, which is presumed to be 1950-60s.  Hallmarked "HARRIS"  and marked Sterling.   Vintage costume jewelry,  about 2 inches.
Price:$118.00    Condition: As described    Order Item#R/V100828  JL

RETRO FLORAL BROOCH ~ STERLING

Sterling  3 1/4 inch BROOCH, circa 1940s, set with emerald cut, unfoiled rose color faceted glass stones.  You will note the pinkish color close to the center stone, and along the grooves of the ribbon and on the back.  I believe this is a wash that was applied to the BROOCH and allowed to settle in the low spots.  It is not the color of "rose gold", more plumy-pink.   Vintage costume jewelry in excellent condition, marked Sterling.
Price:$118.00     Condition: Excellent      Order Item#U/V100822  EA

ONYX AND PEARL, STERLING RING

This ring has a two level step bezel frame , and the assymetrical  pearl is embedded in a bezel atop an oval, black flat onyx plaque.  The shoulders of the shank  of the ring are split with a single bead next to the frame.   Vintage estate jewelry, the size 6 ring measures 23.5 mm x 7.5 mm.  Marked sterling.

1940s HAND BROOCH

Graceful hand with molded in sleeve, bracelet and ring, holds a single leaf stalk with a green and crystal rhinestone bloom curling around to the leaf center.  Gold tone metal, the large lobe of the leaf has acquired a pinkish patina.  Vintage costume jewelry,  3 1/4 inches, in excellent condition, locking c clasp.

VERY OLD CROSS, EARLY 20TH CENTURY

About a hundred years old, and lightly worn, the cross is still a wearable and interesting piece of jewelry.   The gold tone cross itself, not including the bail, is almost 2 1/2 inches.  The back is plain, with  no markings.  The front has raised design.  The square with a cutout circle is rose gold as is four little, short bars and 2 "nail heads" in each of the four sections.    The 4.5 mm, 20 inch chain is not original to the cross but is a suitable replacement.
Price:$58.00     Condition: As described      Order Item#V100818

1930s FILIGREE BROOCH

A little treasure, this one is as pretty on the back as it is on the front.  The front has two layers of gold tone filigree; the lower level is a duplicate of the back and the top level is a leaf or double trifoil design set with amethyst color rhinestones and faux, simulated turquoise.  Circa 1930s, vintage costume jewelry in like new excellent condition, about 1 3/4 inches, with a locking c-clasp.

CARVED CARNELIAN PENDANT NECKLACE

Very old, probably circa 1920-30s, the carved piece depicts an Oriental man, perhaps a student, standing and holding a sheaf of paper in his raised hand.  Pay particular attention to the frame around him and the bail above the pendant; the gilded sterling filigree  wire work is hand made and exquisite.  The chain has ten 8.5 mm carnelian beads.  The original part of the chain is 21 inches long.   A removable extander has been added to make the chain a total of 28 inches.   Vintage fine estate jewelry in excellent condition.
Price:$218.00    Condition: Excellent      Order Item#F/U/V100410   LBA

picture

GRAPE CLUSTER PENDANT NECKLACE, CIRCA 1920

The little 4mm grapes, are glass beads of the lightly mottled type commonly made in Europe during that period.  The chain and drop at the front are 3 1/2 inches, the chain supporting the center is dotted with additional beads and is 22 inches long.   Vintage costume jewelry in excellent condition.
Price:$118.00     Condition: Excellent     Order Item#V100412    LZ

picture

HAND PAINTED PORTRAIT PENDANT

Very interesting, it appears that the portrait is actually reverse painted on the back of a piece of clear glass which is fixed in place above a piece of white, opaque glass.  The frame is a beauty, it is two stacked frames of different size,  one on top of the other.  The inner frame is a spiral in shiny gold tone.  The other frame, slightly larger than the inner frame, is also spiral wound and the metal is imprinted with a tiny design.  The pendant is about 1 1/2 inches, suspended from an 18 inch chain.   The chain looks right with the pendant, however it is doubtful that it is the original.  Vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition, probably circa 1910-30.
Price:$188.00    Condition: Excellent     Order Item#V100413    BL
